¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ University hosted representatives from our strategic partner, British University Vietnam (¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵV), on Tuesday 24 September 2024 on our Talbot campus.Â
Thuy Nguyen, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Operations) and Chief Operating Officer, Tran Lam Chau, Chief Financial Officer, and Nguyen Thi Thu (Jenny) Hien, Head of International Mobility & Partnerships enjoyed a tour of the campus, and met with ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ colleagues to discuss opportunities for ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ students to join ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵV’s internship programme with local businesses in Hanoi next summer. ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵV have hosted groups of ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ students over the last three years on their campus, and placed them with local businesses for short internships.Â
While at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ, Jenny Hien delivered an information session to a group of interested ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ students on the opportunities to take summer and exchange programmes at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵV, funded by the UK Turing Scheme.Â
The delegation also met Professor Lois Farquharson, Executive Dean of the ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ University Business School along with academic colleagues to discuss progression opportunities for ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵV students to join ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ programmes. Finally, the delegation met with Professor Alison Honour, ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ’s Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer, discussing expansion of the partnership and ways of working more closely together.Â
