Undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree)

• UK A-levels or equivalent high school leaving certificate from your country
• International and European Baccalaureates, Cambridge Pre-U Diploma
• SAT, ACT and AP exams
• Hong Kong Diploma Secondary Education (HKDSE) with minimum grades of 3 in a relevant subject.

Undergraduate (Top-up degree)

• Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent
• Overseas qualifications that are equivalent to the first two years of a UK undergraduate course or 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits (e.g. a college diploma).

Postgraduate (Master’s degree)

• Bachelor's degree (honours) with a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4 from your Bachelor's degree
• Professional qualification equivalent to UK Bachelor’s degree level (e.g. Chartered Institute of Marketing)
• ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ International College Pre Master’s and other recognised pathway programme.

Research Degrees (MRes, MPhil and PhD)

• A first or upper second class (2:1) honours UK Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (MRes and MPhil entry)
• A UK Master’s degree or equivalent in a discipline appropriate to the proposed research (PhD entry).

If you cannot gain direct entry to a degree, ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ International College offers preparatory courses to help you. Successful completion with the required grades guarantees access to your chosen course.

• Foundation Certificate
  Available in Business, Law or Finance; Computing; Events, Tourism & Hospitality Management; Media & Communications; and Science. These can also be accepted for entry onto many other ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ undergraduate subjects.
• International Year One
  Offered in Business, Law or Finance; Events, Tourism & Hospitality Management; and Media & Communications, for direct entry to year 2 in selected Bachelor’s degrees.
• ±Ê°ù±ð-²Ñ²¹²õ³Ù±ð°ù’s
  Availble in Business, Law or Finance; Events, Tourism & Hospitality Management; and Media & Communication, leading to a wide range of ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ Master’s degrees, including many other subject areas. For more information, visit: .

For entry to most Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ, you will need to have achieved a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall (with no less than 5.5 in each component) or equivalent, if English is not your first language.

Exemptions may apply if you have HKALE / HKCEE / HKDSE

To be accepted on to a Research Degree programme, you will need to have achieved an IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent. The language requirement may be higher for some programmes, specifically those which involve a high level of communication skills.

Other acceptable English Language qualifications for entry

We accept several easy to access online English language tests that can be taken from home, with result available quickly, including KITE (Kaplan International Tools for English) and ELLT (Oxford International English Language Level Test), amongst others. Successfully completing a pre-sessional English for university study programme with the required grade at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ International College, or with other recognised providers in the UK or overseas.

English Language Comparison Scores

Check our website for comparison scores between IELTS, TOEFL and other tests. We use this to decide whether you have met the level required to study at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ.

Our fees are inclusive and cover all the essential course elements. Students may be required to pay for optional or discretionary aspects of your studies, such as textbooks, optional placements and printing charges.  

We have done our best to clearly outline any anticipated extra costs on each course webpage, to help students understand our provision and what they need to budget for.

• £17,800 to £18,800 per year for full-time study (BA/BSc/BEng degrees). Please check the individual course pages  to see the specific fees for each course

• Plus £1,850 to take a placement year – this is optional and additional to the tuition fee, should the student wish to gain professional experience.  

Tuition fees are fixed throughout your course (except your placement year) and applies to all undergraduate honours degree students, including those who start on an integrated Foundation Year.

• Taught Master’s: £16,000 to £18,250 for full-time study (MA, MSc and LLM degrees). Please check the individual course pages to see the specific fees for each course

• MBA: £18,000 for full-time study 

• Plus £1,850 to take a placement year – this is optional and additional to the tuition fee, should the student wish to gain professional experience.  

Postgraduate research 

Library-based research: £19,000 per year, full-time fee 

Laboratory-based research: £21,000 per year, full-time fee 

Deposit fee

• Applicable only to postgraduate and postgraduate research
• £5,000 to be paid by the deposit date stated on the student’s offer letter.  

The deposit is required to secure the student’s place on they course they have applied for. It is non-refundable, except in certain circumstances as outlined in our  (section 3).
