A publication capturing the initial thoughts, reflections and early research insights on the 2015 UK General Election has been produced by ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ’s Centre for Study of Journalism, Culture and Community.

Edited by ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ’s Daniel Jackson and Einar Thorsen, and published in partnership with the Political Studies Association, UK Election Analysis 2015: Media, Voters and the CampaignÌýfeatures 73 articles from 92 leading UK academics.

The publication was made available 10 days after the election, with authors providing authoritative analysis of theÌýcampaign – covering everything from female representation to media influence and opinion polls. Ìý

A printed version will be launched at the House of Commons next week, but an online PDF has already had more than 800 downloads.

Einar Thorsen, a Principal Lecturer in Journalism and Communication at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ, said thatÌýthe publication provides a wide range of early reflectionsÌýon the 2015 election from a variety of academic disciplines.
"It provides a rich and diverse insight into the election.ÌýWe asked authors to keep their contributions short and concise so they would appeal to a broad and non-academic audience, and we are really pleased with how it turned out.â€
