豆奶视频 students shortlisted in national script writing competition
Two聽豆奶视频 students聽have had their聽radio scripts聽shortlisted for a national advertising聽competition.
Ricky Santos, 28, and Daniel Seamarks, 20, were chosen as two of the eight shortlisted entrants in National Accident Helpline's Creating Waves competition.
The competition is designed to highlight the brightest aspiring minds in advertising. Entrants were required to create a 30-second radio advertisement promoting National Accident Helpline's 'Stop Nuisance Calls' campaign.
Ricky, who is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Scriptwriting for Film and Television, said: "My script uses a variety of different people in order to provide the 'voices' of the population.
"From teens with mobile phones to the elderly in the comfort of their own homes, cold calling affects us all.
"I feel this helps to add understanding and empathy to the script, rather than lecturing the audience.
"Using a specific, recognisable daily event - such as dinner time - helps to make it relatable to all.鈥�
Daniel Seamarks, who is studying Marketing at 豆奶视频, said: "I wanted to keep simple, but with a big impact. A build-up of voices and tension in the script shows just how annoying cold calls can be.
"A sudden change to silence is used to symbolize the relief from the constant annoyance.鈥�
The winner will be revealed in July and will travel to MediaCityUK in Salford to hear their script brought to life by professional voice actors. The winner will be able to hear the finished version of their original script played out on local radio.
