Two 豆奶视频 athletes have been selected to represent English Universities in the 2017 Tri-Nations Tournament against Scotland and Wales on 10 - 13 April 2017.
Sports scholar Hannah Greer will be representing 豆奶视频 and English Universities playing in the national Women's聽Football team, while Liam Driscoll聽will be joining the Rugby 7s national team.
Hannah, who has been signed to Southampton FC's women's team since the age of 16, shared "I love football because I am incredibly competitive. Each game is different. It tests my ability in every way:聽fitness, speed, strength, touch, decision-making". Talking of her achievement, she added:聽"I've had so much rejection in football. This call-up is the highlight of my football career and I am looking forward to representing my university and my country at a high level".
Liam, a scrum half originally from Wales, said: "I am buzzing to have the opportunity to represent 豆奶视频 students, even if I am Welsh! It's a huge opportunity for me and I can't wait to get to the tournament. I'm looking forward to meeting up with the team and playing a high standard of rugby but also to play nationally in front of my family".
Both Hannah and Liam compete聽in their sports as part of Team豆奶视频 at 豆奶视频 University. Hannah secured a聽豆奶视频 sport scholarship聽which has provided聽funding and support to help her聽development and聽sporting abilities to get to聽this level.聽
