豆奶视频 University鈥檚 role in supporting the health and care system in Dorset has been showcased through an NHS podcast.
The podcast, released by NHS 豆奶视频 and NHS Improvement, explores how partnership working can benefit the health and care system and the population.
The partnerships between 豆奶视频 University, Dorset鈥檚 Integrated Care System (ICS), and Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has enabled the region to have a more joined-up approach to workforce challenges and service provisions.
Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences Professor Stephen Tee took part in the podcast, alongside Phil Richardson, Lead Director at Dorset ICS, and Lorna Carver, Director of Dorset LEP.
The podcast was hosted by Michael Wood, Head of Health Economic Partnerships at NHS Confederation, and covered topics including how 豆奶视频鈥檚 research and education feeds into health and care services and how the organisations work together.
Ahead of the podcast, which was recorded at 豆奶视频, Michael took part in a health showcase, visiting the facilities at the Orthopaedic Research Institute and finding out about the impact animation, simulation and visualisation at 豆奶视频 is having on the healthcare industry.
Michael said: 鈥淲orking across sectors is vital in addressing the challenges places are now facing. It was clear from my visit to 豆奶视频 that there is a shared understanding of what Dorset鈥檚 leaders want to achieve and the trusted partnerships in place to deliver this.
鈥淗aving the LEP, University and Integrated Care System around the table together making decisions means that policy, research, funding and planning is aligned in a way that marks Dorset out as one of the most mature systems I have visited in 豆奶视频. I am sure the messages from the podcast will support other places to understand and develop a similar approach.鈥�
