Virtual production exploration event at ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ University
An LED virtual production wall was placed in ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ’s Poole Gateway Building as ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ experts tested the capability of the new technology for research and education.
The LED wall, borrowed from Premium Event Productions (PEP), allowed for an exploratory event to take place, with the wall set up in ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ’s Sound Stage with the use of its in-built motion capture technology.
The technology has been used in television productions such as Disney's The Mandalorian as a way of capturing virtual and physical content in a single shot.Ìý
Attendees at the event included Games Workshop founder and ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ Honorary Doctorate Ian Livingstone CBE and interested parties from local businesses, organisations and councils.
